London’s latest food and interiors goals: Granary Square Brasserie

Even as I write, I feel confident that this will not be your first introduction to the Granary Square Brasserie in Kings Cross, London. If you are on Instagram, it’s impossible to avoid. This is the new photographable honey of North London, and with good reason. Palm print covered chairs, exposed brick walls and curious subject matter found in beautiful frames, all add to the charming ambiance found from the minute you step into Granary Square Brasserie. The entrance certainly doesn’t prepare you for what you will uncover inside – just another example of my grandmother’s wise words of advice to avoid judging a book by its cover.

And to think, we’re talking about a restaurant here and I haven’t even come to the food yet. I could go on for ten more paragraphs about the beautiful bathrooms, the delicate gold hardware and the velvet banquettes. But I’ll leave it here and say this is an interiors dream begging to be discovered. I’ll leave it as we really do need to speak about the food at Granary Square, as it deserves a casual shout out. This is London breakfast food at its finest. Sure, there’s a great cup of coffee. Of course you can also expect beautiful pastries and healthy yoghurt dishes. But, the real joy is found in the unhealthy offerings. The pancakes, the eggs royale and the avo on toast are all absolute beauties, ready for your undivided attention.

In short, Granary Square Brasserie is a place to visit for business or pleasure! I highly recommend making this a brunch affair, with a table full of your finest acquaintances and agenda to spend three or four hours together, huddled around gorgeous Bloody Marys and copious amounts of food!
