Style Update: The Bomb Diggity for everybody

posted on: Wednesday, 4 October 2017

I haven't been spending a lot of time lately talking about who's getting it right in fashion. Sure, I share what I'm wearing and I tell a tale or two about something related to the articles of clothing on my back, but I don't really talk too much about what led me to the item itself, or who, in fact, is behind the item in question. So, if you don't mind, I want to start doing that a little more - focusing in on why I wear what I wear and who's putting it together. Don't worry, we aren't talking a full education here, just credit where credit is due.

Let's start with today's bomber jacket....which I am absolutely obsessed with and am almost certain you won't be able to guess where it's from (unless you've already purchased one of your own). This is a Who What Wear for Target piece. And before we go any further I'm going to have to admit that there are a lot of things in this world I would like to wear, but there are many I can't wear because of how wide I am. I'm not putting myself down, just stating the facts. It's my cross and all that. But this bomber is something for everyone and that's why I'm throwing this info out there. The Who What Wear collection for Target features items that start at XS and go all the way up to 4X. If you want to talk about people doing it right in fashion these days - you are staring them in the face. This isn't an advert, it's just me saying I ran into Target and ended up leaving with two bags full of clothes I didn't expect to find. For designers and brands listening, read this and take it in. People that wear a XL, 1X, 2X, 3X and more all have money to spend and want to spend it! If you are limiting your size range, you are limiting your growth potential. Whoops. Sorry, that sounds harsh and demanding. Nope, not sorry, it's meant to sound that way. A change is coming, people, and I sincerely hope it's a swing in the fashion world that means we can all play and win at this thing called style!
