London Eats: Ralph's Coffee & Bar

posted on: Friday, 20 January 2017

Anyone else feel like London's Regent Street is becoming little America? Not that I'm complaining. It feels like a taste of home and, speaking of taste, Polo Ralph Lauren just added a rather pleasant reason to visit the famed London shopping district. Introducing Ralph's Coffee & Bar. Now, you know I'm no stranger to dining at the table of Ralph Lauren. Over the past few years I've found myself at Ralph's in Paris, The Polo Bar in Manhattan and Ralph's Coffee on Fifth Avenue. Let's just call me educated in the ways of Ralph Lauren, from fashion to food. So, when I caught wind of the news they were opening a venue in my hometown, you can bet your bottom dollar my rear end was one of the first to occupy a saddle leather booth.

The best way I know how to describe London's Ralph's Coffee and Bar is as follows. Imagine putting The Polo Bar and Ralph's Coffee in a blender and only pouring out half the contents. Ok, that sounds strange. Basically, what I'm saying is this is a smaller combination of both properties. It's also, from floor to ceiling, exactly what you would expect from Ralph Lauren. It's luxurious, preppy, welcoming yet exclusive, and full of just the clientele you would imagine. Yes, I've been back more than once, hence the reason I know this. I've been back to have coffee and cookies (both excellent), I've indulged in breakfast with avocado on toast and I've even slipped in a club sandwich between meetings on Regent Street. Just call me the expert. I'm working my way through the menu one meal at a time.

Now, it should be noted that this is a smaller venue than the other Ralph Lauren locations. There is seating for about 25 and it's already pretty busy in there, so make sure you get in there ASAP. The menu is also not as extensive as you would imagine. This is due to the fact that this really is more of a bar and coffee shop, but the food is definitely worth exploring. The bar is fully stocked, the coffee is always piping hot and the nibbles are delectable. That's all you really need to know. Go forth and live the Ralph life to the fullest!

Location: In the Polo Ralph Lauren store on Regent Street!
