Red Magazine Anthropologie

Last week I had the great pleasure in attending a very special evening with Red Magazine and Anthropologie. If you haven't attended a Red Shopping event, as a reader or supporter, may I just go ahead and suggest you attempt to make this happen in the future. These events are so much fun and a great opportunity to hob knob with some pretty mega people in the industry, such as the editor and fashion editor of the mag. Oh yeah, they're both there and around to not only meet and greet but also help with shopping and styling. In short, they are worth attending. I can't say that about all magazine events, but I can easily say that over and over about every event Red puts on.

Now, onto the event attended. Red used their shopping event at Anthropologie to celebrate a very special new issue, the November Art Issue. This year they are supporting two artists in residence at the magazine- illustrator Nina Fuga and embroiderer Laura Lees. Both were in attendance at the event, alone with several examples of the pieces they have created while working with Red. Alongside short talks with the artists, Red also hosted a short styling session with the super fabulous Nicola Rose. Love this woman. Honestly. Have you ever opened Red to see the fashion pages? She's the genius behind some pretty amazing styling work. Yes, I have a serious style crush.

Here's a look at the night in question, from speeches to sketches...
