You are pretty much going to have to deal with me obsessing over all things food and fashion for the rest of this season. Chanel, Anya Hindmarch and Moschino all turned to their local supermarket for inspiration on the catwalk for autumn winter 2014 and the windows popping up as a result are absolutely fantastic. Take Moschino, for instance. Their window on Conduit Street in London is ab fab with its glorious surprises.
Late last night, as I was walking back to The May Fair Hotel with a bit of a spring in my step having just finished London Fashion Week, I came upon the Moschino windows and stopped dead in my tracks. Moschino had gone larger than life-sized with their supermarket sweep. A giant shopping basket was filled with mannequins wearing the autumn winter collection from Jeremy Scott. The famous fruit loop dress was featured alongside the Hershey’s ball gown and the cheese cracker poof. There’s even a Moschino beer can, for heaven’s sake.
Yes, I stopped and photographed the whole thing as it was just too sweet not to share. And by too sweet, I mean I literally wanted to tear into a Hershey’s bar after seeing this display.
