There's a fashion week happening this week and next. No it isn't in New York, London, Milan or Paris. This fashion week is happening in Miami and it has everything to do with swimwear. It is officially known as Fashion Week Swim and it's pretty mega. Designers from around the world showcase their pieces here for buyers and press. It's where swim things come to launch, basically. The big news coming from that direction today is this: Kate Spade is launching a swimwear line

While the launch at Miami Swim is a rather soft launch, there will be a much bigger event around the whole affair taking place in August in New York. That's just in time for the Manhattanites to grab a sample and head to the Hamptons for some instagram fun.

According to WWD, the Kate Spade swimwear collection will be made up of 72 pieces and will range in price from $120-$200. You can only guess at what Kate Spade will have in store for us but we're thinking it will be their classic tongue-in-cheek design. You have to remember this is the same designer house that brought us shoes inspired by New York City cabs and big juicy doughnuts. Bring on November, when we can all finally buy into the Kate Spade poolside glamour.
