Ever since I went from brunette to blonde last summer my hair has been a mess. I must say I never really understood the whole bird's nest- hair analogy until this year. When I get out of the shower my hair does actually appear to have matted into not one, but several bird nests suitable for the a whole family of pigeons. As I've never dealt with tangles in my life, I didn't really know how the heck to deal with this new beauty dilemma. At these times I count myself lucky to have some beauty experts as best friends.
Ask anyone with tangles what they do and most will tell you they work with the Tangle Teezer. I tried it, loved it and have used it for about the last seven months. It was a miracle worker, but it was a bit awkward to use. I mentioned this to the Cult Beauty girls and they told me I needed to get my hands on The Wet Brush.. As most beauty miracles require a home loan to own, I was ready for some serious credit damage. Surprisingly, The Wet Brush is only £11.99. Not too shabby. But what's the deal? Why is it so good?
First up, The Wet Brush is a new technology completely. The brush features unique bristles that actually allow for detangling without breaking your precious strands completely. I will say that having used it for a while now, I am noticing a lot less hair in the brush than I was seeing with the Tangle Teezer. I've also thrown out my hair brush and use this for dry hair comb throughs as well. On a side note, the bristles on the Wet Brush are also created to help with scalp stimulation. Unashamedly, I will tell you that last night I actually sat brushing my hair in front of the TV not to help my hair, but to give myself a head massage.
So to make a long story short. If you are a tangled mess, let this Wet Brush see you through the messy hair days. I promise it will be the best thing you buy this year. I am a total convert and can't stop recommending to anyone that will listen. It's simply life changing.
