Marios Schwab presented, what we believe to be, a much more commercial catwalk this season. His pieces were safer than the designer has played before and the end result was a runway full of pieces that will sell, and sell well, come autumn winter 2014. From leather bombers to bustier-type structured mini-dresses, there was a wide variety of material on show.
One thing about Marios has certainly stayed the same through every collection he has presented. Schwab dresses a woman ready to take on the world. We’ve always thought of the Marios Schwab woman as a superhero of sorts, a warrior if you will. His pieces are always beautiful and well constructed, but they are made for a no nonsense woman and we see that once again in AW14.
