Learning how to make macarons in Paris

Ever seen a picture of a macaron on instagram that didn't instantly rack up a few hundred likes? You just can't go wrong with an image of a macaron or a cupcake. Knowing this, while we were in Paris NEXT decided it would be a great idea to learn how these perfect little pastries are made. Excitedly, we all entered the kitchen in Paris thinking we'd be able to curve our spending habits with the likes of Laduree and Pierre Herme. Sadly, by the time we got to about the tenth step (out of possibly 25 steps), we were all starting to think that our money was well spent on the experts that could give you your macaron fix in seconds. Honestly, who knew it would be so hard to make macarons

I will say this, though. It was the most fun I've ever had in the kitchen, with eight of my favourite women in the industry.
