London Fashion Week: Mulberry Spring Summer 2014

The Mulberry Spring Summer 2014 invite was a tiny Wedgwood tea cup and saucer, the venue was once again Claridge’s and just like last year it was a scrum to get in the front door. There is no other show that has street style photographers literally tripping over each other to snap celebs and industry folk toing and froing. Yes, the circus continues.

Upon entering the Claridge’s Ballroom, we found that Mulberry had transformed the room into a country manor. Flowers and ivy rain up the walls, stairs were lined with grass and littered with blooms, and in the main foyer we found a lovely afternoon tea laid out for all those attending. Leave it to Claridge’s to provide the best afternoon tea London has to offer. From scones to cucumber sandwiches, it was the first time we’ve seen the fashion industry attack food so far this week.

Unfortunately we couldn’t see much of the show from our seats, but from what we could see there were lots of textures and prints at play, and even a couple of dogs struggling down the catwalk. Cara Delevingne opened and closed the show as Anna Wintour looked on nonchalantly. And then just like that it was all over.
