A few years ago I posted a piece on the nightmare of trying to find boots for women with larger calves. I have been cursed with this dilemma myself and I’ve made it my goal to build up a boot collection that is stylish and currently relevant with today’s trends. Over the past two years I’ve had emails from countless readers asking me to keep them in the loop when I make news discoveries.
So, it was with great pleasure I share my two latest boot purchases that were suitable for larger than life calves. They are both from Topshop and both very reasonably priced (both £135).
The first, the Boa Neoprene tall boot, couldn’t get more fabulous for a wide calf. This is created in that wonderful Stuart Weitzman fashion, with a stretchy backing. Essentially, it fits any calf as it stretches to mould to your leg perfectly. Ideal, no?
The second boot, the Destiny Over Knee boot, is not constructed with the larger calf sizes in mind, yet works perfectly if you need that extra bit of room. The style and fit is meant to be a bit looser. Naturally I jumped at these boots as the over-the-knee style reigns supreme once again this season.
