The Daily Boomer: Eat, Chew, Sleep

Well folks, I have to be honest and say I’m surprised I’m getting anything up at all on Fashion Foie Gras today. Boomer has officially come alive since he came home 10 days ago. The little guy has found his feet, his teeth and his ability to sneak away in the house and do naughty things while we aren’t watching.

To say it’s been a challenge to raise a puppy and continue a full time blog would be an understatement. I have a new appreciation for mommy bloggers who blog and raise families. How you do this, I will never understand and I completely take my hat off to you. I’m starting to question whether or not I’m meant to be a mother as I can barely handle this little guy, let alone four little rug rats.

So, what’s new in the world of Boomer? Well, here’s the latest…

Boomer is learning to love riding in the car but we have trouble convincing him that his place is in the back seat.

A crazy car journey requires at least an hour’s nap upon our return.

Boomer escaped through the doggy door into the rain to play in puddles for a while (and eat mom’s plants). While he had fun, I think he had more fun getting dried off afterwards. I felt like I was working in a doggy spa as he laid back and allowed me to towel off the water from outside. Spoiled dog!

When he’s done causing trouble outside, Boomer will only chew his bone on my lap and then moves onto chewing my arm. I look like I’ve been through a battle with razor blades. Those teeth are the sharpest things I’ve ever come into contact with! He nips, then shoots me a look that is too cute not to melt immediately.

Then it’s back to sleep…
