FFG weekly reheat: From a day at Dior to drinks with the city men

Kicking of this week’s reheat, we lead with Dior. The Dior beauty press day was in London this week and there were more sweets and treats than you can shake a stick at. Sadly, I’m not allowed to talk about anything that was revealed. I can tell you, however, that their manicures are insanely fabulous. And that’s about all I can say, so best to move on before I break an NDA.

The best way to start the day, with scrambled eggs, salmon and the wonderful ladies over at The Outnet. We all came together to check out the new Iris & Ink collection for AW13. More to come on this, but I did want to say a big thank you to The Outnet for putting on such a wonderful event.

It was a big nail week. Check out these awesome wraps spotted on a colleague. Nail art is taking a step up. Are you prepared?

Did I mention I had my first Cronut this week? All thanks to the River Island press team…

This week saw the launch of the Bella Freud x Barbour collaboration. More to come on this but here’s a sneak peek of a look and a beautiful cookie we were given in the goodie bag!

This is just me being cheesy as I couldn’t get offer how cute this Molten Brown bag was. Adorable and the exact opposite of me!

The coolest surprise of the week, literally, came from Yoo Moo. The fro-yo company sent me some frozen yoghurt to get me through the hot weather and also to help celebrate national fro-yo day this weekend. As if the treats weren’t enough, they also gave me personalised tickets. Yes, now everyone calls me E-moo-ly! Grr…

For those of you in London, you’ll recognise this scene. Outside Buckingham Palace there are more tents than I have ever seen, filled with news crews waiting for Kate Middleton to pop. Yes, this is Royal Baby mania at its finest.

On Thursday afternoon I woke up to a lovely surprise from Sewlomax. They had sent me a beautiful hand sewn beauty bag. I do love a personal touch…

On Friday afternoon I spent a few hours at the V&A Museum in Kensington as I was taking over the twitter feed to tweet the Jenny Packham runway show live from the Raphael Gallery. 25 years of Packham designs made their way up and down the catwalk to a packed house. It was definitely a moment to remember and was absolutely thrilling to be asked to work with such a prestigious establishment.

The week ended with a night out with the city boys. Yes, this is what happens when you are dating a banker. You end up chilling with the suits. It’s not a bad life, let’s be honest.
