Princess Madeleine of Sweden wears Valentino to wed American banker

There was a Royal Wedding this weekend in Stockholm, in case you hadn't heard already. It was quite the ceremony and such an event is, naturally, worthy of an outstanding garment that requires an extensive press release. As Princess Madeleine of Sweden said her "I dos" to Mr Christopher O'Neill, an American banker, she looked resplendent in a creation from Valentino

And as we open our emails this morning, we find that Valentino have kindly sent over all the information on the Royal Wedding gown. Apparently the garment is made of silk organdies with applications of ivory Chantilly lace. While the train may sound impressive at 4-meters long, it's the 6-meter long veil that steals the show. Then of course there's the royal tiara, decorated with fresh orange blossoms. Put all these elements together and you have a look that is worthy of massive attention. When you're Royal, you just have to go all out, right?

“Working with Princess Madeleine has just been so easy,” said Mr. Valentino. “She is very lovely girl. She is modern, fun, full of energy and enthusiasm, and she is so beautiful! It has been a pleasure and an honor."
