Maison Martin Margiela for H&M will hit stores in just over two weeks and FFG was invited in to check out the collection in London before it arrives on the racks for sale. This is definitely one of the best collections yet for the high street retailer. Maison Martin Margiela have provided some true “fashion hits” for the taking. However, we do wonder how this will translate with the general public. For those who eat, breathe and sleep fashion, this collection is seen as an investment in high street fashion history. For others, this collection may be seen as somewhat “off the wall,” as a non-fashion friend pointed out yesterday after I walked her through pictures of the collection.
