This is the image of Jessica Chastain for YSL Manifesto that’s currently floating around the web. Of course nothing official has been announced yet and the noise we’re hearing is that this is an image from the presentation of the campaign that took place a few weeks ago in Paris. Somehow I don’t think YSL was encouraging attendees to snap and share such photos on instagram…but I could be wrong. Regardless of where this image was taken, wouldn’t it be grand if this were in fact the campaign image to be rolled out in magazines for September?
Jessica Chastain looks phenomenal, even with her hands dipped and dripping in purple paint. In fact, the contract of the red lips and the grape coloured paws is pure genius and just about the most eye catching thing I’ve seen for some time. YSL…. we salute you!
