Nicole Richie is joining the likes of Alberta Ferretti, Karl Lagerfeld, Giambattista Valli and Matthew Williamson as it has just been announced she is the seventh designer to create a collection for Macy’s Impulse. The line will make its debut in 100 Macy’s stores across America and will also be available to buy online from September 2012. Perfect timing for the back to school crowd, eh? Macy’s are already predicting that this collection will be an instant sell out. Judging from the popularity of Richie’s current clothing line Winter Kate and accessories line House of Harlow, they may not be wrong!
Richie commented that the collection “represents the many different
layers of a modern woman. Women are wearing so many different hats these
days. We are evolving. Not just working, but creating. This collection
has a strong mix of masculine and feminine: printed chiffon mixed with
faux leathers. I focused on the details, from the zipper pulls to the
