So the word on the street is that Kate Moss will walk down the aisle tomorrow wearing a wedding dress designed by John Galliano. We have less than 24 hours before the exciting reveal. In anticipation of the big moment, we've taken a look through the Galliano archive for some ideas as to what Kate's dress might look like. Here's a look at possibilities of crazy, sexy and cool looks...

Daily Dream Bag: Be&D Maeve Tote

I do love a good Be&D tote. I bought my first Be&D about seven years ago now and it is still that one bag that everyone wants to know where to buy! These bags are truly items that last forever and a day and only get better with age. That may be why the price tag doesn't bother me as much as it really should.

I spent $650 on my first Be&D bag. If I do the math here... I've owned the bag for seven years and carried it at least a dozen times a month over the course of the seven years... that means it was around 25 cents per carry! Try and do the same sort of math for the last $20 bag you bought. I certainly can't work out the same bargain carry price! I say this because I know many of you sometimes drop your jaw when you see the prices on these handbags. I do try and only post pieces that are truly worthy of the number attached. Be&D definitely fits the bill when it comes to praise for durability and style!

Fashion Bloggers move to print with release of style book

It seems a handful of fashion bloggers (95 to be exact) have come together to create a style book for the masses titled "Style Yourself." Now correct me if I'm wrong but the wonderful thing about blogs is that they are free to read and style advice is readily available on millions of websites according to your specific tastes. The bloggers that have contributed to this book are on my google reader which I flip through everyday without fail and while doing so I amass a spectacular hourly education on style and evolving tastes around the globe. I adore these bloggers and what they have added to the world for beauty and inspiration. For me, having that woven together for a book  is a collosal waste as style changes every single second on this planet. For example, this season's must have sheer may be next season's fashion don't. That's why it's particularly hard to do anything with style advice in print that isn't a monthly magazine left to the recycling as soon as the next issue arrives in the mail. This has always been the problem with style books that aren't basic reference material.

Now on the other hand, if you wanted to look at this book as a sort of keepsake/memory book of our style  trends for 2011 I would be all for it! To keep this little ditty on your bookshelf for reference as to what we were putting together in 2011-12 is a fine idea. However, that's why I keep each and every Vogue. That's why I bookmark Susie Bubble or Sea of Shoes on a daily basis.

I am the biggest supporter of blogger efforts and I'm all for seeing blogs more forward.  As fashion bloggers we broke away from traditional media to start a new world for fashion - one that's free and open to the world and one that's always evolving. However, I'm not sure this is a blogger product I'll run out to buy immediately. Will you?

In case you are interested in purchasing this new book, Amazon.com gives the following product description:
Style Yourself is the perfect personal-style handbook—and gift!—for fashionistas of the digital age. This book presents the best of fashion bloggers, with tons of outfit ideas and expert tips that show you how to apply high-fashion inspiration to your everyday wardrobe.
In this innovative guide to personal style, 95 of the world’s premier fashion bloggers—whose sites receive over 500,000 daily visits combined—give hundreds of coveted insider tips, which are sure to delight teens, industry experts, and urban professionals alike. These new taste-makers (including Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes, Tavi Gevinson of Style Rookie, and Susie Lau of Style Bubble) boldly lead the way toward fresh personal style, sharing rich images of their wardrobe inspiration and glimpses into their personal fashion philosophies.
With eight comprehensive chapters, Style Yourself has you covered—from your head to your toes! Hundreds of illustrated and annotated garments provide readers with classic fit and styling advice, and for each type of garment, you’ll find examples of how to rock it from the blogosphere’s hyper-chic members . . . from Stockholm to Cape Town, and Osaka to Milan.

Celebs love Tresor Paris Bracelets

Justin Bieber, Emma Watson, Gerard Butler and Nicole Scherzinger are just a handful of big names we've seen out and about lately wearing the Tresor Paris bracelets. In fact, men like Gerard Butler and Justin Bieber aren't just stopping at one Tresor accessory, they're wearing two or three at a time. This could be considered the official "man bangle". However, it's not just men wearing these pieces of jewelry. Women all over the world from The Only Way is Essex to West Hollywood are investing in Tresor bracelets. The celeb way to wear seems to be in a stand alone fashion, rather than the current trend of mixing brands on one's arm. Seems celebs aren't keen on sharing their wrist with any other bracelets while the Tresor is in residence!
Check out all the Tresor bracelets online here: www.tresorparis.com

Love for Penhaligons, a guest post from celebrity makeup artist Emma Day

Penhaligons is one of those brands that has long been in my affections. It emotes ripples of nostalgia in me as it has always been the brand favoured by my family for Christmas and birthday presents. When stuck for ideas I always head to one of their branches and get a candle or some Bluebell bath oil. There is something deeply satisfying about that lovely duck egg blue wrapping that all of their products are presented in along with their super elegant carrier bags. Its traditional English style at its very best. So I was overjoyed to be asked by the lovely people at Penhaligons to go to the Burlington arcade branch for an olfactory testing in order to find my favourite smell from them.

Above the shop floor is a wonderful, rather sumptuous red and black room where all the bottles of their scents are placed - sort of like ones dream boudoir. I sat down and the Senior fragrance expert, Daniel Godito Aguila, a very dapper and very charming man in a beautiful suit and bow-tie, proceeded to ask me various questions to hone into which smell would be perfect for me. I was asked if I was sporty, whether I liked red or white wine, if I was someone who was quite social, what kind of smells I am normally attracted to.

Since I am well known as a complete perfume obsessive and own about 50 bottles of various wonderful smells, I enjoyed this conversation with a fellow fragrance enthusiast hugely. One thing was clear - I love everything from fresh zesty colognes, to masculine spicy incense, to white floral smells such as rose, gardenia and tubereuse. It was pretty obvious it was going to be hard to reduce this to one smell but Daniel, like some kind of perfume matchmaker, was in his element and determined to find the right one for me.

Daniel presented me with my first smell, hiding the bottle as he sprayed the scent on a paper strip so I had no pre-concieved ideas. I found out afterwards it was the light, feminine white smell of Gardenia which I liked very much - it smelt like a better version of Marc Jacobs classic fragrance but somehow not so heavy or obvious. The next strip, I was told, was on a middle level of scent - light but somehow a little more earthy. I also liked this one. It turned out it was Orange Blossom which, like Gardenia, is one of Penhaligons scents created in the mid 70s.

In order to not get confused and clear my nose a bit, Daniel handed me a glass of water to drink and then handed my third strip to sniff which he described as going on a deeper, more exotic level. Now this was interesting - it was a sexy, quite heady smell and not something I would normally choose but I really connected to it. I was conscious of the bottle of Bluebell in my bathroom and slightly determined to be taken out of my comfort zone and go for something completely different for a change and this was it. It turned out it was a recent creation of the brand, Amaranthine ; a corrupted floral with oriental spices with the unusual under-notes of tonka bean and condensed milk giving it a sweetly erotic charge. Penhaligons have also created a body and bath line called Vanities which has been made to compliment the perfumes without fighting for attention with them and I was told how to layer my smell with the hand-lotion and Vanity oil in order to prolong my scent, Vanities has cotton fresh, creamy fragrance that works perfectly.

So there it was - I had found my scent match in Amaranthine.  Fellow perfume enthusiasts, if you have a special treat coming up for someone you care about or just want to pamper yourself, I could not recommend the Penhaligons olfactory experience more highly - try it out.

Only moments ago pictures of Cheryl Cole as a newly dyed blonde hit twitter. They're being beamed across cyberspace as I write! Also on twitter, all of the front covers of tomorrow's papers have been revealed and for those not reporting on the Federer upset, the riots in Greece or the Taliban attacks, there is the Cheryl Cole makeover story. THIS is breaking news at it's finest. For those looking for the hard news reporting only the facts, you'll find Cheryl's full makeover story in tomorrow's Daily Mirror. It's on the list with Starbucks and a blueberry muffin for me first thing!

Update: We've just received word that Cheryl's colourists used L'Oreal products to transform her locks into the Glossy Honey look (just like it says on the box)

Guests attending the event will not only have a chance to mingle with some major celebs, watch gorgeous ballerinas dance around them and sip sweet champagne but also enjoy a charity auction featuring special gifts from some of the world's leading fashion designers. Kelly Osbourne's Material Girl AW2011 Campaign First Look

Source: WWD
Kelly Osbourne was recently shot by Brooke Nipar for Material Girl's Autumn Winter 2011 Campaign. The fashion line,  produced by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes, has been a great success since Kelly was taken on as the brand's lead model. She shot the summer campaign earlier this year and her work with the brand was greatly applauded. So it's only natural that she should be asked back to feature in the new season. The campaign has been shot at landmark locations around NYC with Kelly sporting the latest pieces from the new collection available at Macy's from September. Look out for the full campaign in September glossies.

Newsweek show Diana at 50... a step too far!

I honestly don't even know where to start with this. I guess I'll start with the fact that I just cancelled my subscription to Newsweek. That's how disgusted I am with the current cover of their magazine. So Newsweek, here's what I'd like to say to you...

Imagine you're mother died in a tragic accident that not only shook your world to the core but also saddened an entire population of people around the globe. Imagine dealing with that on a personal level and then having to share your grief with the entire world on a daily basis as you are constantly reminded of how wonderful your mother was. Now imagine some ridiculous magazine looking to make a quick sell with a front cover has decided to create a digital image of what your mother would look like if she was still alive and she's walking down the street with your new bride? Does that seem at all twisted to you? Does that make you maybe want to find the idiot that came up with this idea and make sure he is never allowed to work publishing again?

Prince William and Prince Harry have dealt with their mother's death with extreme grace since her passing. One can only imagine the incredible heartache of losing your mother so young. For Prince William, he recently wed his beautiful bride without his mother there to take part. That day must have been one of the hardest since her passing and one, in fact, that had us all thinking of Diana.  But it was not a day that we were thinking, "I wonder what Diana would look like if she was alive today." Of course we would have fantasized about what she would have worn to the wedding and how she would have smiled and cried as Wills and Kate said "I do." But we left all those images to the imagination. We certainly didn't run to photoshop and conjure up an image of what it might actually look like.

Which brings me to my next topic. Newsweek should not only be slapped on the wrist for producing such a cover, they should also be scolded for making Diana look so haggard. There is no way on earth Diana would have look like the "skeletor" they have portrayed on the cover. There's no telling what Diana would look like today but we are almost certain she'd look a million times better than the way Newsweek have portrayed her. And creating an image where Kate Middleton is walking with Diana?! What were you thinking?! Is that just an added knife in the back to show how old she would look next to the young and beautiful Duchess of Cambridge?

To conclude, as I could go on forever here, Newsweek have gone too far. It would have been enough to use an image of Diana in the past and leave it at that with their article (which I'm not even going to bother to read now).  Instead they've made a mockery of themselves with this horrific image.

Emma Watson covers Seventeen Magazine August 2011

She may be 21 but Emma Watson makes for the perfect cover girl of Seventeen Magazine's August 2011 issue. I can remember as a teenager being most excited about the August issue of Seventeen Magazine because this was the issue that gave me insight into all that I could look forward to for "back-to-school" clothing. I would flip through the pages and earmark the pieces I'd dream about wearing to school when the new year started. When I received this image of Seventeen I had a flashback to those days and longed for the afternoons spent shopping with mom for binders, pencils and plaid skirts (which I remember being the must have item when I was fifteen). Seventeen is meant to be fun and young and this cover is exactly that! They know their audience and I bet you there are even a few thirty year old women out there that will buy this issue (myself included).

Mia Wasikowska covers Harper's Bazaar Australia August 2011

Fabulous! That's the word for Harper's Bazaar Australia August 2011 featuring the gorgeous Mia Wasikowska. Harper's tweeted the picture of the cover just a few hours ago and so far the response has been fantastic. It's a great cover featuring a face we haven't seen a million and one times! That's progress!

Smurfette models for Harper's Bazaar

We always knew blue was the hot colour of the season! Harper's Bazaar enlisted the help of a little blue friend to prove exactly that point - Smurfette! It could be the electric blue skin or the fact that she's modeling Lanvin, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabbana, but whatever the case Smurfette is looking seriously stylish. This isn't the smurf I used to watch on TV when I was a kid!

Dree Hemingway covers Vogue Turkey July 2011

source: Vogue Turkey
Dree Hemingway covers Vogue Turkey this month with male model Jon Kortajarena. The two make for quite the dynamic duo on a magazine that is definitely picking up speed these days. Vogue Turkey is becoming recognized as one of the better "cover producers" in the industry. Their shoots are original, eye catching and feature the new talent we crave in the world of fashion today.

Dree Hemingway has been a favourite of FFG's for some time now. One thing's for sure about this gorgeous model, the apple does not fall far from the tree. She's the daughter of Mariel Hemingway who has had her fair share of photoshoots over the years. Here's a look at  Dree's mom on the cover of Vogue published nearly twenty years ago. Shocking resemblance, no?

WWD imagine Will and Kate's Wardrobe for California

source: wwd
For those in the fashion industry receiving their WWDs this morning, you'll be pleasantly surprised to see a casual Duke and Duchess of Cambridge staring back at you! WWD have enlisted the help of several designers to imagine what the royal couple may wear on their trip to the sunshiney state next month! Will they appear "California Cool" or "Royally Ritzy?" Seven for All Mankind Jeans imagines Will and Kate will appear in the image feature on WWD's front cover. Only time will tell but something makes us think jeans may not be on the agenda. It would be a pleasant surprise, that's for sure!

Emma Stone covers Vanity Fair August 2011

Now THIS is a cover! Emma Stone looks like a carbon copy of a 1950s pinup girl for the cover of Vanity Fair August 2011. We're big fans of Miss Stone and can't wait to get our hands on the hard copy of this issue. Check out the behind-the-scenes footage of her shoot in St. Barths with Patrick Demarchelier:

Taylor Swift covers Teen Vogue August 2011

Dear Teen Vogue,
I love a good Taylor Swift cover as much as the next girl on earth. However, I expected more from you guys when I heard Taylor was yourAugust covergirl. Upon seeing the latest issue of the magazine I was sure I had time travelled, was 12 again and standing in front of Seventeen Magazine at Rite Aid. Not since then have I seen a cover of this sort of design. I can just picture it sitting on the magazine shelf next to Tiger Beat Magazine. Back to present day. Rubbish magazine covers...it's an epidemic. I am staying away from the newstands at the moment as it's too depressing. Hearing that Kate Moss will once again feature on the cover of Vogue, and the September issue no less, has me even more down in the dumps. Come on print guys...I worship at the altar of Vogue and you're letting me down. Here's hoping it's just me and that the rest of the world is madly in love with your current creations.
Hugs and Kisses,
The Fashion Goose

Kate Middleton wears Temperley to Wimbledon

Via Clarence House Twitter/ Press Association
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are in the Royal Box at Wimbledon today! They both look happier than ever with huge grins on their faces as they chat and watch the Andy Murrary match from their seats.  However, Kate Middleton is once again drawing attention from the crowds for her style statement. The Duchess of Cambridge chose to wear a SS11 Temperley London dress out for today. The three tiered ruffle dress is not one that many women could carry off gracefully.  If you have hips don't go trying on this little number! However, it fits perfectly for Kate's tiny frame and Wimbledon's all white rule.  Well played, your highness!

Charlotte Casiraghi gets another Gucci collection!

Gucci has just announced they will work on a second equestrian collection with Charlotte Casiraghi. Creative Director Frida Giannini will design the highly technical clothing and accessories for the collection personally. For those of you that circulate in the equestrian world you might want to declare your interest early. Word in the barns has us thinking horsebits at dawn!

For the collection you can expect to see classic Gucci colours mixed with heritage accents like the rosette icon from the Gucci archives which was originally used in the 1980s as a broach for the Fédération Équestre Internationale when Gucci was a sponsor. All of the textiles chosen for the line have been selected carefully to not only look chic but perform as they should for a seasoned athlete such as Charlotte Casiraghi.

“Charlotte and her passion for show jumping bring the spirit of Gucci to life so elegantly. Our collaboration on the design of this new wardrobe was once again guided by the need for items to be both technically correct and stylish. The creativity and research behind this new wardrobe are a testament to the Gucci legacy of tradition and innovation,” said Giannini.

Charlotte Casiraghi commented,  “I loved riding in the collection that Frida designed for me last year and I love this new wardrobe even more. It’s the best of sport and style.”

Charlotte Casiraghi will be wearing her new Gucci riding wardrobe throughout the 2011 Global Champions Tour with upcoming stops in Estoril, Chantilly, Valkenswaard, Rio de Janeiro, and Abu Dhabi.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wears Burberry to the 'Tranformers Dark of the Moon' London Premiere

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has blown the red carpet away with her stylish ensembles for every single premiere for "Transformers Dark of the Moon." Her appearance in London last night, wearing a custom made Burberry gown, has left us all with our jaws on the floor. Rosie has a wonderful history of working the Burberry brand so it is no surprise to see the Victoria's Secret model walking the long blue carpet in a creation from the hands of Christopher Bailey.

Bailey commented on Rosie's appearance and hinted at future collaborations: “Rosie has an effortless beauty and an incredible Body. She has been part of the Burberry family since she was 17 and we are enormously proud of her success. We are working on something exciting together which we will be announcing soon."

Heidi Klum and QVC bring you baubles AGAIN...

Looks like QVC and Heidi Klum enjoyed their last jewelry collection so much they thought they'd try another (despite the first collection resulting in a lengthy legal battle with Van Cleef & Arpels)! The dynamic duo will release a costume jewelry collection carrying the name Wildlife by Heidi Klum across the home shopping network on September 8th, perfectly timed for New York's Fashion Night Out! The big push is of course for the Autumn Winter Season and some of the pieces, including the necklaces pictured above, don't look half bad. You can expect to see 35 styles in all with a price tag reading anywhere between $30 to $200! Inspiration this time around seems to be less from the high end jewelry collections and more flea market chic.
