The Fashion Goose has flown to Antigua...but we'll be back!

I can't believe I'm about to write these words. After nineteen months of non-stop blogging I am taking a holiday! When I say non-stop blogging, most of you know that I have averaged a four hour sleep for going on nearly two years now in order to keep FFG up on the latest and greatest. So to avoid any burn out, I am taking a full ten days of rest and relaxation in Antigua! I'm packing my glossies, flip flops and bikinis and leaving behind my laptop, heels and fancy party dresses! I may have agreed to leave blogging behind for 10 days, but I refuse to leave the news! Therefore, I am pleased to announce that you will be able to keep up with the latest news live from our twitter feed: www.twitter.com/fashionfoiegras. This may occasionally include pictures of perfect beaches and fruity cocktails...just a warning!

I love a feel good purchase and that's just what the Fitflop Manyano leather wedge is! A portion of the proceeds from each pair of Manyano FitFlops will go to non-profit organization Wola Nani to support developing South African communities. Looking good and feeling good, now that's some fancy footwork for you!

Bargain du Jour: Warehouse Feather Emb Shift Dress

What do I have to say that this dress doesn't already say for itself? I am absolutely in love with this piece. It needs nothing more than a lovely pair of sandals to make it work. No accessories at all are required and the more simple you can keep it the more spectacular this Feather embroidered shift dress will look. If you are out with a chilly night ahead just throw a jean jacket on and you'll look as if you've walked straight out of a glossy. Love it!

Linen Pajamas from Charlotte & Co.

A big thank you to Charlotte & Co. who sent me over these gorgeous Linen Pajamas! Who would have ever thought that linen pajamas would be comfortable to sleep in?  However, I washed them and tried them out for the first time last night and now they're my nightwear for Antigua. They even come with their very own holding pouch which is seriously helpful for travel! Sorry, boyfriend, I know they aren't terribly sexy but comfort comes first. I'm going to sleep like the dead in these bad boys over a much needed vacation in hot weather.
Thanks again Charlotte & Co.!

Kate Moss makes it with a Bunny...

Is it just me or does Kate Moss seem to have a thing for fluffy guys these days? First a charity commercial with a teddy bear and now this...

If Kirstie Alley is a size six I will eat my Manolos...

The Daily Mail reported this morning that Kirstie Alley recently stated, "'I haven't weighed myself in the last four weeks. I bought these dresses from a size twelve (UK size 16) to a two (UK size 6). Tonight I'm a six (UK 10). When I'm a two, I'm done, people!'

I have a big problem with this statement. A huge problem. First of all, Kirstie Alley, you are not a size six and you probably never will be a two unless you become a complete anorexic or decide to wear ill fitting dresses for the rest of your life.  But you know what, there's nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with that at all because you are beautiful as you are right now as someone who is looking to become healthy through proper diet and exercise. What is terribly off here is the fact you feel you have to lie about being a size six. Whether that's your agent talking or you talking, it's you that has to take the heat for it and heat is what we're going to give you.

We have tremendous problems in today's world with eating disorders and women obsessing over size labels in their clothing.  Do you know how that came to be? With Hollywood telling us all we need to be a size zero to be worthy of fame.  The real heroes in today's superficial world will be the women that stand up and tell the truth about their size and embrace a body they were given rather than starving and punishing themselves to become something else.  Those are the actresses and models that will cause women to celebrate themselves and their bodies.  And those are the women that will be remembered. The rest will just vanish and be remembered as just another skeleton that was once in a movie or on a billboard.

At Fashion Foie Gras, we are all about being healthy in lifestyle choices through the right diet and a correct exercise program.  Keeping your body in top notch working gear is essential when you're working around the clock. So when we heard Kirstie was taking the bull by the horns and throwing herself into a rigorous program on Dancing with the Stars, we were so excited to see her getting in shape the right way.  But this latest statement has really set us back. Own up Kirstie, if what the Daily Mail has written is untrue I urge you to come forward and call them out on it.

Get Kate Middleton's Honeymoon looks from Warehouse...

The lovely PRs at Warehouse were quick to provide info of Kate Middleton's latest shop in store this week. And why wouldn't they? It will mean for an instant sell out of all the dresses! They even went as far as to tweet while she was in store.  Now most celebs might be a bit perturbed at this sort of attention but Kate seems to take it in stride. I suppose this is her future. She's become a fashion icon, whether we like it or not. So here's the run down of what her future Royal Highness purchased for the honeymoon...
1. Tropical Print Bird Dress for £65
2. Lace Trim Square Print Blouse for £55
3. Bright Floral Bandeau Frill for £45
4. Feather Print One Shoulder Dress for £45

Oh and good news for all those living abroad...if you want the look, Warehouse ship internationally!

ASOS and Nivea create a capsule collection

In celebration of Nivea's new Invisible deodorant, they have joined forces with ASOS to create a capsule collection of little black and white dresses. Why is this relevant? Well, Nivea claims they've created a deodorant that won't leave yellow stains on white dresses or white marks on black dresses. First of all, Amen! The least fashionable thing you can do is walk out your door with deodorant marks or stains on your garment. It just screams amateur. So what better way to announce you've changed the world of unsightly stains than to design dresses that will compliment your new beauty regime perfectly?

ASOS and Nivea are giving shoppers the chance to win the entire capsule collection online now. Be sure to enter the competition for your chance to win!
