Fashion Rocks Zurich behind-the-scenes

This weekend was definitely one for the memory books! On Saturday morning I woke up bright and early and caught the first BA flight to Zurich. I had kindly been invited to attend the Fashion Days in Zurich Fashion Rocks show on the evening of the 12th of November 2011! Not only was I invited to the show I was also given all access backstage for the entire afternoon. That meant sitting stage side as all the bands went through their sets, watching as the venue was transformed for the big event and, most importantly, having the opportunity to watch Julien Macdonald fit his models for the show that evening! For those of you that are familiar with Julien Macdonald you’ll already know that his Autumn Winter 2011 collection was magical. The gowns that were produced for this season had all of us sitting with goosebumps as we watched the dresses float down the catwalk for the first time last February. Having an opportunity to see them up close and personal as well as in action once again was a great honour.

Before we go into the show itself, which not only featured Julien Macdonald’s current collection but also a number of powerful performances from leading musicians, let’s take a look at what went on behind-the-scenes in the run up to the actual event…

FFG would like to thank IMG, Mercedes Benz, Park Hyatt Zurich, Fashion Rocks and Charles Vogele for the weekend adventure.
