Cynthia Rowley and Pampers collaborate on designer diapers

We've already seen the haute couture denim diaper commerical and an announcement of Gucci Kids...and today's announcement has me wondering what's next. Cynthia Rowley has signed up with Pampers to create 11 different styles of designer diapers. They will be sold exclusively at Target from mid-July. Someone please explain to me when fashion moved to something you do the most disgusting bodily function in. Sorry, there's no nice way of putting that. Is it an effort to make it all somehow more pleasant? What's next? La Perla working with Depends?

Other People's Love Letters....This is a book I must own

I'm a sap. It's true. A big, ole sap. I can't help myself. So when I'm out looking for fashion books and I come across a gem like this I have to share with the world because I think there might be other fashion addicts out there that have a sappy side as well. Plus, who can forget the book that Carrie Bradshaw was reading in the Sex and the City the Movie. Remember? The one with all the great love letters from great men?  Well what's better than that, right?  I've found it.  Love letters from real people in everyday situations.  It's called Other People's Love Letters. I only had a chance to flip through it in a bookstore and I kid you not...I cried. It's a beautiful display of human emotion. I've ordered a copy on Amazon and I think it's carried at most bookstores...I'd highly recommend picking it up. Here's just a quick look at what's inside to give you a teaser.

Not a huge fan of this shoot. The only outfit I really loved was the denim shirt and feathered skirt. The rest I could do without. Glamour used to be a magazine I respected but I'm not too impressed when they dress young women in such trashy ways.

No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you! WWD just posted this sketch from DVF of the outfits that the famous Rockettes will be wearing when they attend Diane von Furstenberg's Life Ball in Vienna next month! Oh to be a Rockette for that day! What an amazing outfit!

Madonna's Material Girl collection is a walk through the 1980s

This morning WWD posted pictures of the new "Material Girl for Macy's" line by Madonna and daughter, Lola.  It's cute. I can't deny it.  We wondered what role Lola really played in the whole process of design. “She’s been coming to meetings pretty much from the very beginning,” Madonna told WWD. “My role was really to make sure we were all going in the right direction and it was a line that I could stand behind and be proud of and feel good about — and one that she could also feel represented her. I really like the way Lola dresses, and I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste.”

I can't help but think that the whole line reads like a walk through time in Madonna's life.Here's what I mean...pictures of the new clothes on the left (obviously) and Madonna in history on the right....

I have to admit I had way too much fun looking at old pictures of Madonna in putting this piece together!

Naomi Campbell's balding head is big news today

Poor Naomi.  Karma truly is a bitch. Seems all those stressful outbursts have taken their toll on her appearance. Naomi was photographed yesterday in New York during a professional photoshoot and the cameraman couldn't believe his luck when he examined the photos up close later.  He discovered a paparazzi's gold mine - some serious lack of hair on the left side of Naomi's head.  

Baldness at 40 for a woman seems awfully young.  But when you've had a high flying life like Naomi the signs of pre-mature aging come with the territory. It's a shame it happens to women who depend on their looks to keep food on the table.  It's been a tough year for Naomi and I'm sure this doesn't help things.  I suggest a few months out of the limelight, cabin in the woods, no weaves and surrendering of blackberry and iphone! 

Madonna's daughter, Lola, starts a fashion blog to launch Material Girl

The new line by Madonna and her daughter, Lola, will be launching at Macy's this fall. To hype the new brand Lola has started her very own fashion blog for the Material Girl Collection. 

In her first entry Lola shares a few little tidbits with us including the following:

"I’m 13 and I’ll be 14 in October, so I can’t wait for that because I am FINALLY allowed to dye my hair… THANK YOU MOTHER!! My favvvv color is black (just because it goes with everything) and my least favorite color is brown (because it resembles the color of something QUITE gross)."

"I am totally obsessivo about 80’s shorts…"

"OK but no joke gladiator sandals are OUT. "

An interesting start. It's like an already famous Tavi.  I prefer Tavi.

Oodles of Hermès Bags go up for Sale at Christie's South Kensington

Alright, calmly read what I am about to write and try your very best not to jump in your car or on your nearest jumbo jet and and scream over to Christie's South Kensington.  

Christie's will be holding a sale on the 14th of July which will feature an absolutely enormous collection of  Hermès handbags.  There is ever colour, size and model that you could possibly imagine available for sale.  With estimates ranging from £1,000 to £35,000 there are sure to be bidders from all walks of life participating in the auction.
