Anna Dello Russo's Top 50 Closet Hits

The fashion director at large for Vogue Nippon was once described by Helmut Newton as a "fashion maniac". We have never seen a woman so dedicated to the art of fashion. You can look back on history for hundreds of years and not find a patron of fashion equal to Anna Dello Russo. She is the woman we most respect and admire in the industry. Her clothes are her artform. Her body is a blank canvas which she decorates in completely different styles on a daily basis. But why go on and on about our love for this fashion genius when we can show you exactly why it is we admire her so in pictures. For years we have been collecting images of the outfits she has stepped out in. So, this post has been many months in the making. I do hope you enjoy our 50 top picks from the wardrobe of Anna Dello Russo. And should Ms. Dello Russo come upon this post we'd like to say thank you for giving us such beauty to admire over the years.

Let the visual presentation begin....

  1. There is no one who can rival this woman's style, the way she pieces outfits together...she is a walking couture show and a true fashion icon of our times. Knowing that not one piece of my wardrobe won't even come close to what ADR puts together upsets me. A lot. Her actual wardrobe and apartment must be a dream. FAB post FFG!

  2. Desde luego que su armario debe de ser,...no , es un sueño para cualquiera.
También hay que decir que lo luce bien.

  3. Forget the Vogue closet, it's all about ADR's closet.
    She's fantabulous.

  4. Actually, this is 49 outfits...
That gorg, orange Lanvin dress is shown twice.

  5. Another dress is shown twice also. Row 4 - 1st iamge and row 9 - 4th iamge! So 48 outfits!

  6. She looks like she has been sucking lemons for the last 20 years. Unfriendly, pretentious and arrogant: the pure essence of fashion world.

  7. She's got very bad posture. The clothes look like they're wearing her, not the other way around.

  8. Ugh - What a bag. There's no fool like an old fool....

  9. I've had the chance to work next to her a couple of times.

She's evil, pure poison, a snake...

Her assistant wanted to go to the loo and asked her kindly if she could go to the loo. ADR reply "Do you want to be my assistant or do you want to go to the loo?" What a cow.

Make you are your minds you bloggers!

  10. Fashion Statement: the Guardian's weekly free fashion e-mail said about this woman:

"she exists purely to bring joy and happiness to our lives."
ERRR...HAVE YOU ACTUALLY SPENT MORE THAN 12 SECONDS WITH THIS WOMAN?

"She owns more than 4,000 pairs of shoes. Respect.
She's going to be 50 next year. She dresses like this. More respect"
RESPECT IS WHAT SHE SHOUD LEARN TO HAVE TOWARDS THE OTHERS AROUND HER.

SHE IS JUST ANOTHER MONSTER IN THIS UNREGULATED INDUSTRY.

  11. If first (50?) impressions count, she strikes me as a very unhappy woman.

  12. I feel sorry for her, she looks quite lonely and bitter.
